This 4 Days Tanzania wildlife safari begins in Arusha. You will visit the Serengeti National Park which is best known for the annual wildebeest migration which has two (2) main tourist areas which include the Seronera that occupies the central part of the park and also has the headquarters of the park. Its open wide grasslands are home to a large diversity of wild animals and a number of wildlife documentaries have been short here. River Seronera is the life link of the Serengeti Park as several animals converge to drink at this river, as well as a very good place to see some of the large predators like cheetahs. From here you will proceed to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater which is estimated to be haitat to over 3,000 wild animals. There are various activities you can participate in on this safari such as game drives and hot air balloon safaris. It ends in Arusha where you might have an optional city-tour.

4-Day safari Serengeti & Ngorongoro; Detailed Itinerary
Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast at your hotel in Arusha town, you will be met by our safari guide who will drive you to the renowned Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After the seven (7) hours’ drive, you will finally arrive at the Serengeti and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the Seronera area where you will see some of the animals living within this amazing National Park.
Later you will proceed to your accommodation where you will check in, freshen up, rest and afterwards have diner. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tukaone Camp.

Full Day safari in Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated to exploring the vast endless plains of the Serengeti Park. You will have breakfast very early in the morning and set out on an early game drive with packed lunch boxes. During the game drives, you will explore various circuits within the park among which is the River Sogore Circuit which circles through the endless plains all the way to the southern sector of the Seronera River. This river attracts a very large number of animals, especially in the dry season which congregate to drink water. You will later proceed to the visitor’s center which has a gift shop where you can purchase some Souvenirs, obtain a lot of resourceful information about the park and even enjoy your lunch. The center has great views of wildlife.
Later on in the afternoon you will set out for another game drive to search for more animals within this park. Some of the animals you will see today include lions, topi, Thompson’s gazelles, cheetahs, elands, giraffes, impalas, zebras, and so many others.
In the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and the overnight.
Optional Hot air Balloon Safari in Serengeti
Today you will have an opportunity to enjoy a Hot Air Balloon Safari (this is optional) in the morning during which you will glide over the endless plains as you enjoy an aerial view of the large number of animals right below you. At the end of it you will have a champagne breakfast.
Second overnight at Tukaone Serengeti Camp in central Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
Very early in the morning, you will head out for a final game drive in the Serengeti to enjoy a last glimpse of the Serengeti wildlife. There will be an optional Hot-Air balloon safari. You will later return for a late breakfast at your accommodation, check out and then set out to the Ngorongoro Crater Area.
Along the way, you may make a stopover at Olduvai Gorge (extra Olduvai Gorge fees apply); an anthropological site where Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife – both anthropologist researchers, discovered human skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and Handyman’ which are very significant discoveries in the evolution of man.
You will later transfer to Karatu within the Ngorongoro Highlands where you will check in at a lodge for dinner. Overnight Marera Valley Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater back to Arusha
Very early in the morning descend to the Ngorongoro Crater for game drives in the crater’s floor. The crater walls are 600 meters deep. Once on the crater floor, you will embark on a game drive to see the various animals living here as well as see the numerous features found within the crater. It is approximated that there are more than 3,000 wild animals living on the crater floor among which are: large zebra herds, warthogs, the mysterious leopards, wildebeests, huge African elephants, jackals, elands, hyenas, buffaloes, cheetahs, lions as well as hippos. You will also visit the large but shallow Lake Makat which is an alkaline lake that offers habitat to hippos and a large flock of flamingoes. Picnic lunch will be provided at one of the picnic sites at the Ngorongoro Crater’s floor.
Later in the afternoon, your guide will drive back to Arusha where the safari ends. Depending on the departure time we can transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
This will mark the end of our 4-day Tanzania Wildlife Safari in Serengeti NP and the Ngorongoro Crater.
With one day more to spend, you can opt to do our 5 days Tanzania safari that includes Tarangire National Park in addition to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.
